About the Scholarship
The Swedish Institute awards academic scholarships for master’s studies in Sweden to global professionals from a selection of countries. The scholarship is open for applications once every year for master’s studies beginning in the autumn semester. It aims to contribute to the sustainable development of applicants’ home countries through education and networking opportunities.
Scholarship Overview
The SI Scholarship for Global Professionals is a competitive fully-funded initiative that supports full-time, one- or two-year master’s studies at Swedish universities. Fields of study include Governance, Public Health, Entrepreneurship and Innovation, and STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics).
Scholarship Benefits
- Full tuition fee coverage paid directly to your Swedish university each semester.
- A monthly allowance of SEK 12,000 to cover living expenses.
- A one-time travel grant of SEK 15,000.
- Membership in the SI Network for Global Professionals.
Eligibility Requirements
- Citizen of an eligible country (including Nigeria).
- Must apply for a master’s programme eligible for the scholarship.
- Liable to pay tuition fees.
- Demonstrated work experience of at least 3,000 hours.
- Demonstrated leadership experience.
Application Requirements
- Proof of work and leadership experience using the SI template.
- Two letters of reference from different referees.
- Submit a CV using the SI template.
How to Apply
- Apply for a master’s programme through University Admissions from 15 Oct 2025 to 15 Jan 2026.
- Apply for the SI Global Professionals scholarship from 9 Feb 2026 to 25 Feb 2026.
- Provide required documents during the application period.
